Accor Suite Night Upgrades
A Suite Night Upgrade (SNU) is a technical benefit for Platinum and Diamond members of the ALL - Accor Live Limitless program. It allows members to confirm a suite at the time of booking for the price of a lower-category room (typically a Standard or Superior room).
Unlike complimentary upgrades given at check-in, an SNU guarantees the specific suite category in advance.
How to Earn Suite Night Upgrades
Members unlock the first two Suite Night Upgrades upon reaching Platinum Status. This requires earning 14,000 Status Points or completing 60 Status Nights within one calendar year. These vouchers are automatically credited once the threshold is met.
Additional upgrades are earned incrementally based on Status Points.
- A 3rd SNU is awarded at 18,000 Status Points.
- Subsequent SNUs are earned for every additional 4,000 Status Points.
- The Diamond Status threshold is 26,000 Status Points, which continues this earning cycle.
- Members are capped at 12 SNUs per calendar year.
How to Book Your Upgrade
To use an SNU, members must book through the official website, the ALL mobile app, or the Accor reservation center. You may also contact hotels directly to book. However, for Fairmont, Raffles, and Swissôtel, phone reservations must be made via the central Accor Booking Office.
Members must log into their accounts to see available upgrades. During the search, select the "Suite Night Upgrade" checkbox to filter participating properties. The system will display specific room-to-suite pairings available for the selected dates.
The SNU rate is typically based on the Best Flexible Rate or the Standard Member Rate. This fixed pairing determines the price paid for the suite. For example, at the Raffles London, you might book a Westminster Suite at the price of an Executive Room.
Key Rules and Usage Restrictions
The following technical rules govern every SNU transaction:
- One Voucher Per Night: Each SNU covers only one night of a stay.
- Ineligible Rates: Corporate rates, ALL Plus subscription rates, and "Stay Plus" free nights are strictly excluded.
- Payment Restrictions: Reward Points cannot be used to pay for SNU bookings, neither at booking nor during the stay.
- Blackout Dates: SNUs are subject to blackout dates. You can check them here.
- Expiration Logic: SNUs expire on December 31 of the year after they were issued.
A member may book a future stay using a voucher that is nearly expired. If a voucher expires on December 31, 2025, you can book on December 29 for a March 2026 stay. The stay must simply conclude before December 31, 2026. If such a booking is canceled after the original expiry date, the SNU is forfeited.
Participating Brands
SNUs are exclusively redeemable at participating hotels within the following luxury and premium brands:
- Raffles, Faena, Delano, Sofitel Legend, Fairmont, SLS, SO/, Sofitel, MGallery, 21c, Mondrian, Pullman, Swissôtel, Mövenpick, and Grand Mercure.
Budget and mid-scale brands like ibis, Adagio, and Novotel generally do not participate in this benefit. Additionally, even within participating brands, specific hotels may be excluded.
SNUs provide outsized value during "peak dates" in high-demand cities. Because the suite price is tied to a lower-category room rate, it acts as a hedge against rate surges. At Fairmont properties, using an SNU for a Gold Suite is efficient, as Platinum members do not receive automatic Gold Lounge access.
Cancellations and Expiration
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel a booking within the hotel's allowed window, SNUs are returned to your account. This process generally takes up to 7 days. Vouchers are only re-credited if they have not passed their original expiration date.
No-Show and Rate Warnings
SNUs are not refunded for no-shows or early check-outs. Strategists should also compare the SNU price against non-refundable "Sale Rates." If a hotel offers a significant promotion, booking the suite directly at a sale rate may be cheaper than the SNU rate.
Expiry Warning
Members should monitor the "Awards" section for specific voucher dates. Expired SNUs cannot be extended for any reason. Use the "book now, stay later" rule to maximize vouchers before they lapse.
Bottom Line
The Suite Night Upgrade is a high-value tool that rewards planned, flexible travel. Its fixed value makes it superior for protecting against high cash rates on busy nights. Success depends on understanding the "fixed pairing" system rather than expecting a discount on the lowest available price.
